Distance between knowing and doing
A 3D annotated diagram exploring the space between knowing something, and the actual doing and putting it into practice. There is a large psychological expanse of time and energy that we often get stuck in, as we delay, procrastinate and refuse to put into practice what we know we should do. There is a lurking area of contradictions and doubt that stops us achieving what we want, need or should do for our wellbeing. This is also a dynamic area and one where we also have the possibility to change old patterns of behavior and create new active and fulfilling moments. This sculpture will examine, with a touch of humour, the inherent frailties and complexities of being human and our somewhat ambivalent relationship with change.
