NOW ONLINE – I have a Solo Show opening 13th March at the Upright Gallery in Edinburgh.It runs until 4th April, and includes a special selection on 4th April as part of Slow Art day.
I am really looking forward to showing a collection of new and recent objects exploring psychological change. I will be combining old objects, with layers of meaning and past uses, as a metaphor for the layers of past experiences and influences that have shaped us as people. The tools have both a handheld part, a connection with the body, and a business end; to cut, measure, form, gather, press, pull, comb or scrape. People are inherently ‘doers’ and these tools are an attempt to do something when actually the process of change sometimes requires more of a ‘being with’.
I will be giving a talk and there will be a Slow Art day event too.
